Trade Leaders Council of Nigeria, the corporate umbrella for registered trade associations consisting of both the professional and non-professionals, the farmers, artisans among others, with over 500,000 members have settled for the choice of Hon Jelili kayode Amusan as the life patron of the group.
The group disclosed this cheering news in a letter dated July 25, 2024 and signed by both the Chairman and Secretary General of the association, Prince Femi Egbodofo and Fijabi Saheed Abiola respectively.
The group said that the decision to honour Hon Amusan, the former two term lawmaker representing Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode federal constituency was as a result of his outstanding leadership and contributions to the socio-economic development of both the state and the country at large
The statement partly reads "The decision to honour Hon Jelili kayode Amusan was arrived at during the Council's Central Working Committee meeting held on Friday 19, July 2024.
"It is in recognition of Hon Jelili kayode Amusan's unrivalled contributions to the socio-economic development of the country and the state at large.
"It is also a testament to Hon Amusan's unblemished track record as a politician as well as his achievements as a business magnate providing mentorship and leadership worthy of emulation".
Responding, Hon Amusan lauded the group for their daily contribution to the growth of the economy and the development of the country saying that the role of the Informal sector in strengthening the economy can never be deemphasised.
Amusan who was grateful for the honour pledged to continue to do his bit to advance the progress of both the Ogun State and the country as a whole
