In commemoration of the 2024 International Youth Day, the Ijebu Youth Association has conferred a meritorious award on Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Edward Omosanyin, the Area Commander of Ijebu Ode.
This prestigious recognition is in appreciation of ACP Omosanyin's exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and unrelenting efforts in combating crime within Ijebu land.
Pastor Okikiola Fayomi, National President of the Ijebu Youth Association, while presenting the award to the police boss described him as a superlative officer and a role model par excellence to the entire Nigeria Police Force.
The President said "your commitment to justice, integrity, and community service is truly inspiring
"This meritorious award serves as a testament to ACP Omosanyin's tireless efforts and a reminder that his selfless service has not gone unnoticed.
"The Ijebu Youth Association is proud to recognize and celebrate your achievements, and we look forward to your continued leadership and service to our community".
Responding, Omosanyin commended the youth leadership for their exemplary leadership style in the state, acknowledging their efforts in promoting peace and security.
He thanked the youth for the honour done him and charged them to continue to collaborate with the police in tackling cultism and other criminal activities in the region.
The Area Commander also appreciated their constructive role during the recent protests across the nation, recognizing their contributions to peaceful resolution.
ACP Omosanyin reiterated his commitment to working with the youth and other stakeholders to build a safer, more secure, and prosperous Ijebu land.
