Courts in Ogun state have been shutdown by judicial workers who are protesting over short payment of their salaries by the state government
The State branch of Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in a fresh statement issued on Tuesday in Abeokuta, to staff, asked them to stay away from the courts and other judicial offices as from this Wednesday, until further notice
The union explained that the decision to begin the Industrial action became necessary, following the deadlock in its several meetings with the State Government over short changing of the judicial workers on payment of salaries to them
It will be recalled that the union last June 14 suspended its prolonged nationwide strike which lasted for more than two months, following agreement reached with the Nigeria Governors Forum on the Implementation of financial autonomy for the judiciary arm of government in the country
