Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGISIEC) has urged members of the public to disregard the purported timetable for the forthcoming local government elections in the state which had for the better part of yesterday been circulating on the social media describing it as fake.
Speaking with journalists at the Iwe Iroyin, the secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, on Thursday, the Director of Information and Logistics (OGISIEC) Mrs Adeyinka Musa-Richard said the purported timetable was nothing but a work of art, fake and should therefore be ignored by members of the public.
Mrs Adeyinka Musa-Richard explained that "it's obvious that the news many people are expecting these days is that of local government elections but like the governor disclosed not too long ago that the local government elections hold soon, we can be rest assured that the elections will hold very soon indeed but that election time table is not real, it is fake, it is just a work of art and should therefore be discarded. Just very soon, all the information will be out there".
